Chapter 124: A Bloodstone the Size of a Human Head
"Hurry... hurry... there's more inside!" Qing Yuan's eyes lit up with excitement as he noticed the energy fluctuations emanating from the hole they had just dug. His voice was filled with fervor.
A single supreme bloodstone would take them years to fully absorb, let alone the fact that the energy contained within was so pure that it required no refining before absorption.
Hearing this, Yang Tian's gaze shifted to the interior of the hole. Sensing the surging energy within, he couldn't help but lick his lips and nod eagerly.
Picking up the broken sword, Yang Tian quickly dug out another supreme bloodstone, though this one was slightly smaller than the previous one. Bloodstones varied in size, and one the size of a human head would be considered a legendary treasure.
"How many supreme bloodstones are in here? We've hit the jackpot..." Xing Hao's eyes gleamed as he stared at the bloodstones on the ground, their energy swirling around them. He couldn't resist taking a deep breath, his face filled with intoxication.
"There probably aren't too many. Such treasures of heaven and earth are incredibly rare. They only form in places where peerless experts have shed their blood..." Shan Qu shook his head. Finding three would already be an incredible stroke of luck.
If these three supreme bloodstones were brought out, they would undoubtedly cause a frenzy. None of them had ever had the chance to use one before. Qing Yuan had once seen one, but it was only the size of a fingernail—nothing compared to these fist-sized stones.
"This little guy is really something. Quick, sniff around and see if there are any more!" Qing Yuan extended his chubby hand, revealing a high-grade pill. He smiled ingratiatingly at Xiao Bai.
"Arf!" Xiao Bai's eyes lit up as he snatched the pill, chewing and swallowing it in a few quick bites. He licked his lips, clearly wanting more, and leaned in closer.
"This little guy sure has an appetite," Qing Yuan muttered, scratching his head before pulling out a few more pills. "Xiao Bai, go on, sniff out more treasures. I've got plenty of pills here—enough to stuff you full."
"Whimper..." After eating the pills, Xiao Bai tucked his head in, his eyes darting around as he focused on the interior of the cave.
"Don't even think about going in there. We can't get in," Qing Yuan shook his head. Getting this far was already a feat. They couldn't fully activate the power of their Dao artifacts, and getting injured here would be disastrous.
"Just three. There's nothing more inside," Yang Tian said as he dug out the last supreme bloodstone. His eyes gleamed with desire as he examined the bloodstones on the ground.
"Let's move quickly and check the other caves. If we find more, we'll be set for life." After some discussion, they decided to let Yang Tian temporarily hold onto the bloodstones, and they moved on to explore other caves.
By now, the tomb had attracted a number of powerful young cultivators. News of the interior of the War King's tomb had spread, and many disciples from major families had arrived.
Yang Tian followed the guidance of the Ancestral Dragon Ring, which had been vibrating intermittently since they entered. He couldn't help but suspect that there was something extraordinary hidden within.
"Why are there so many people here?" Qing Yuan grumbled as they emerged from another cave and noticed several people wandering outside.
"No matter how many people come, they won't find the supreme bloodstones," Yang Tian said with a faint smile, touching his nose.
"Arf!" Xiao Bai barked proudly, clearly taking credit for their success.
The further they went, the more intense the killing intent became, and the fewer caves there were. After walking for a while, they encountered many unknown monsters. Thanks to Yang Tian's Life Spring Water, their group was far ahead of the others.
"What kind of place is this?"
Before them stood a massive mountain range, stretching for miles, far beyond the boundaries of Luoyun Gorge. It resembled a crouching dragon, exuding an eerie and unsettling atmosphere.
"Do we go in?" Yang Tian scratched his head, feeling a mix of excitement and dread. This was a place of great danger. Even if there were legendary treasures inside, charging in recklessly could cost them their lives.

"We have to. We've come this far—how can we turn back now? I feel like there's some great secret hidden here," Qing Yuan said, gripping his Thunder God Hammer. A radiant treasure robe enveloped him, leaving no part of his body unprotected.
"Alright then," Yang Tian nodded, distributing some Life Spring Water to everyone. In such a strange place, survival was the top priority.
"Let's move quickly. I suspect some of the holy lands will send people soon."
This was a small world, with overlapping peaks, lush vegetation, and an ancient aura permeating the air. It was similar to the Martial Dao Mountain, but the ancient aura here was far stronger.
"Strange, why has the killing intent disappeared?" The group had fully unleashed their energy, preparing for the worst, only to find that the overwhelming killing intent had vanished, leaving them puzzled.
"Something's not right. We need to be careful," Yang Tian said after observing their surroundings. The area was filled with strange rocks and formations, exuding a strong life force, but there was an underlying sense of unease.
"Wait, there's a formation here!" Shan Qu suddenly exclaimed, looking at the scattered stones around them.
"Damn, even the stones have patterns carved into them. What kind of place is this?" Xing Hao muttered, shrinking back and proceeding cautiously.
After walking for a while, they came across a jade wall with intricate carvings. A tremendous pressure emanated from it, as if the wall itself was alive.
Yang Tian saw a figure on the wall, but it was too blurry to make out any details. Suddenly, a burst of overwhelming killing intent shot out, causing the Golden Dragon Seal above his head to tremble violently. Yang Tian's eyes stung, and a drop of blood fell from them.
"Don't look! This thing is too dangerous!" Yang Tian quickly backed away, his eyes bleeding as he shouted a warning.
The others were shocked. Yang Tian was incredibly strong, especially in terms of physical resilience. Yet, even he had been injured by the killing intent emanating from the wall.
They proceeded cautiously, the ancient aura growing stronger the further they went. This was a treasure trove for cultivation, offering several times the efficiency of the outside world.
Following the guidance of the Ancestral Dragon Ring, which was vibrating more intensely than ever, Yang Tian led the group deeper into the cave.
"Arf!" Xiao Bai suddenly barked, having detected another supreme bloodstone. His teary eyes were fixed on a section of the wall.
Delighted, Yang Tian and the others dug out two more supreme bloodstones, though they were smaller in size. The stones were crystal clear, covered in divine patterns, and radiated immense energy.
As they continued, Yang Tian dug out seven or eight more supreme bloodstones, all roughly the same size, and distributed them among the group.
At the end of this small world, another cave entrance appeared.
*Boom!* Just as they were about to enter, a deafening roar echoed from outside, shaking the air and sending waves of terrifying pressure through the void.
"Looks like some big shots have arrived," the group turned to look, realizing the disturbance wasn't far from them.
"Let them come. We've already made a great haul," Qing Yuan chuckled, rubbing the supreme bloodstone in his hand. The outer area was filled with coffins, and if those were opened, the newcomers would have their hands full.
"Let's get inside," Yang Tian said, activating the Golden Dragon Seal to shield the group as they entered the cave.
*Clang!* As soon as they stepped inside, overwhelming killing intent assaulted them. The Golden Dragon Seal trembled violently, and the energy barrier around them distorted. The group poured their energy into the seal, trying to stabilize it.
"The further we go, the harder it gets," Yang Tian muttered, swallowing a drop of Life Spring Water to heal his cracked skin. Without it, they would never have made it this far.
The cave was filled with coffins, and the atmosphere was eerie and oppressive, as if they had stepped from heaven into hell.
"If whatever's in these coffins wakes up, it could destroy an entire holy land," the group muttered, having already passed over a dozen coffins, each containing a terrifying presence.
"Roar!" A monster suddenly appeared, with two human-head-sized growths on its back. Its silver body shimmered as it lunged at Yang Tian and the others.
*Bang! Bang!* The group attacked in unison, their powerful strikes tearing the monster apart. Silver blood spilled onto the ground.
After walking for about half an hour, the commotion behind them grew louder. It seemed many people had entered the tomb.
"Look, that's Golden Jade Bone!" Yang Tian exclaimed as they turned a corner and saw a dazzling golden light.
"It really is Golden Jade Bone! An Emperor-level expert died here!" The group was stunned, quickly moving forward. Golden Jade Bone was the remains of an Emperor-level cultivator.
"How brutal. Even the bones are shattered," Yang Tian muttered, examining the golden skeleton. The bones were covered in intricate patterns, a sign of a peerless Emperor-level expert who had met his end here.
With a sigh, Yang Tian collected the remains, planning to find a proper burial site for them later. While the bones could be used to craft powerful artifacts, no one in the Eastern Continent had the skill to do so.
Xiao Bai jumped out, staring at the faintly red ground, indicating there was treasure below.
"This is divine blood. Even after all this time, it hasn't dissipated," Yang Tian said, using the broken sword to dig. The ground was incredibly hard, and it took a great deal of effort to make any progress.
"This Emperor-level expert must have been extraordinary, likely possessing a special physique," Shan Qu nodded in agreement.
As Yang Tian continued digging, he grew more anxious. The commotion outside was getting closer, and it wasn't just one or two people—many powerful figures were approaching.
Sweat dripped from Yang Tian's forehead as he dug with all his might. After what felt like an eternity, a corner of the bloodstone was revealed, and a wave of pure energy surged forth.
"Hurry, they're almost here!" Qing Yuan wiped the sweat from his face. If they were discovered, they wouldn't be able to keep the treasure. Even with his high status, supreme bloodstones were too valuable to hold onto easily.
"Don't rush. This one's huge—probably the size of a human head," Yang Tian said, gritting his teeth as he channeled all his energy into the broken sword, digging furiously.
*Boom!* Another deafening roar echoed from outside. The group's hearts raced as they frantically dug, Xiao Bai clawing at the ground with all his might, sending dirt flying in all directions.
