“How was daycare today Sasha?” A young man of about 19 asked a little girl walking beside him as they walked into a ramshackle apartment that appeared to only have a few of the modern conveniences available. The apartment had two rooms, a living room combined with a kitchen. The living room only having a rug on hardwood floor and a sofa with a small wooden table in front of it. The kitchen appeared to be slightly more used, and had more conveniences such as a blender or a microwave.
“It was really fun! We played house except I had to play dad because Sarah was mom and it was really unfair and then she made me clean the house while she bought a dog and then I didn’t want to play and then I got tired so I took a nap.” Sasha burbled out while jumping around the room.
“I can see that you took a nap” laughed Daniel as he gravitated towards the kitchen. “Now what do you want for dinner?”
“CAKE!” Sasha screamed, jumping from the sofa onto the ground.
“I want more chicken.” Sasha demanded reaching across the table for the plate with chicken only to be intercepted by Daniel’s arm.
“What do we say?” Daniel demanded with a glint in his eyes.
“Please give me some chicken or I’ll scream.” Sasha stated staring her brother down with a knife clenched in her fist.

“It’s improvement” Daniel grudgingly admitted while getting another piece of chicken.
“Daniel! What is this?” Sasha fretted with rising panic, jumping out of her chair and rushing over to her brother. Daniel reacting by grabbing her and pulling her into his lap.

“What’s going to happen?” Daniel whispered to himself

Sasha turns around and buries her face in her older brother’s shoulder

And just like that, reality changed.
Trees are swaying in the wind, birds are making their nests, predators are hunting, and prey are hoping that the predators won't hunt them. In the middle of this forest, a portal opens, several animals nearby are driven insane by the mere presence of the portal. A man is dumped out unceremoniously before the portal winks out of existance as fast as it opened.
