After the incident with his family, Arthur had completely cut ties with the Bckthrone Duke household. Without support from his family, he relocated from the duke's territory to a small city, seeking a fresh start. To earn a living, he joined the Adventurer's Guild as a magician, spending his days raiding dungeons and hunting monsters alongside guild members. Though the work was exhausting, it paid well. In just 15 days, he had already saved up 45 gold coins more than enough to cover his daily needs.
Despite the grueling work, Arthur always looked forward to returning home. The moment he stepped inside, a familiar, joyful voice called out to him.
“Daddy, you’re back!”
Yuki ran towards him, hugging him tightly. Arthur smiled and patted her head before hearing another soft voice from the dining area.
“Arthur, you’re home. Dinner is ready. Wash up and come to the table,” Yamikage said gently.
Arthur nodded and thought to himself, It really feels like I have a lovely wife and daughter now.
After dinner, Yamikage tucked Yuki into bed before returning downstairs, where Arthur sat with a serious expression. She sat across from him, sensing something on his mind.
“Yamikage,” Arthur started, “I’m going on a dungeon expedition tomorrow.”
She tilted her head slightly. “I know you take missions, but why are you telling me specifically this time?”
Arthur sighed. “I won’t be back for at least two or three days.”
Yamikage’s expression shifted. “What do you mean?”
Arthur hesitated for a moment before answering, “We’re heading into the Abyss of the Forsaken.”
Yamikage’s eyes widened in shock. She abruptly stood up and took a step closer to him.
“Don’t tell me you’re actually pnning to go into that death trap...!” she said, her voice filled with concern.
Arthur nodded. “Yes.”
Yamikage clenched her fists. “Arthur, that dungeon has been untouched for a thousand years. No one who has entered has ever come back alive.”
Arthur looked at her seriously. “I know… But this is an opportunity I can’t ignore.”
Yamikage fell silent for a moment before stepping even closer. Her red eyes locked onto his.
“Promise me you’ll come back safely.”
Arthur smirked lightly. “I’ll try my best, but… if something happens to me, please take care of Yuki.”
Yamikage’s expression softened, though worry was still clear in her eyes. “I will. But… you better not make me do that.”

The next morning, Arthur was ready to depart. Before leaving, he knelt down and hugged Yuki.
“Yuki, be good for Yamikage, okay? And take care of her.”
Yuki nodded enthusiastically. “I will take care of Mommy!”
Yamikage stepped forward and leaned in close, whispering into Arthur’s ear.
“If you come back alive… I’ll give you a surprise,” she said teasingly.
Arthur felt his face heat up. “W-what kind of surprise?”
Yamikage only smirked and turned away.
Flustered, Arthur quickly left before he could embarrass himself further.
---------------
When Arthur arrived at the meeting point, five individuals were already waiting for him. They were all Ptinum ranked adventurers one rank above Arthur, who was currently Gold ranked(Without using dark magic, if he use it he is strongest from all the member).
A tall, muscur man with a massive shield approached him. “So, you’re the newbie joining us?”
Arthur nodded. “Yes, I’m Arthur.”
The man grinned. “I see. Well, I’m James, the tanker of this team. That girl over there is Sylva, our healer. She’s also in charge of buffs. Next to her is John, an archer. The guy standing over there is Kael, a swordsman, and finally, she’s Ena, a mage like you.”
Arthur nodded respectfully. “Nice to meet you all.”
James smirked. “Good. With this team, we’re clearing that dungeon.”
The others nodded in agreement. With that, the party stepped forward into the Abyss of the Forsaken.

Inside the Dungeon
The moment they crossed the threshold, an eerie silence filled the air. The entrance sealed itself shut behind them, trapping them in a seemingly endless darkness.
The deeper they ventured, the more suffocating the air became. The walls of the dungeon were covered in ancient, forgotten runes that glowed faintly. The temperature dropped, and an unnatural chill crawled up their spines.
Then…
Two glowing purple fmes ignited in the darkness ahead.
They weren’t ordinary fmes.
They were eyes.
A deep, inhuman growl rumbled through the dungeon.
Something was awake.
And it was waiting for them.
To be continued….
