Arthur casually elimihe Shandians who had troubled the Skypieans for turies, as if swatting a few flies, then turned and headed back to the temple, appearing rather ued.
No one on Skypiea was strong enough to make him take things seriously. A single bolt of lightning could sy almost anyone. Aside from training and developing his fruit abilities, there was nothing else to do.
...
Time passed ufully, and awo months passed.
Iemple, upon the high golden throne, Arthur y sprawled zily, tiny arcs of electricity c across his body. His muscles rhythmically twitched.
"The modifications to the 'Ark Thor' still aren't plete? What are those shipwrights doing?"
His voice was indifferent, yet it held a divihority, like a soft whisper that boomed like thunder, making the guards iemple tremble and srofusely.
Those in positions of power naturally developed an intimidating aura. Arthur, the aowledged God of Skypiea—has this quality in spades.
"Lod, your 'Ark Thor' has been redesighe shipwrights are w hard to build it. This is the blueprint they asked me to deliver to you. Please, take a look!"
...
(I'm ging the name of The Ark to Thor. Its appearance closely resembles Marvel's Helicarrier.)
...
stance—as Arthur's loyal servant, immediately presehe Ark Thor blueprints, bowing low with humility.
"If it's been designed, why wasn't it brought to me sooner?" Arthur g him, instantly making stance drop to his knees, not daring to reply.
"My Liege, you're mistaken. The blueprints were just delivered!" An old man behind stance spoke up, her servile nor overbearing.
This man was a desdant of the person who desighe Waver turies ago. His shipbuilding skills were among the best on Skypiea. He often used various Dials to create everyday items and ons for the Divine Soldiers. He was a rare talent.
"Hmm!" Arthur nodded, not particurly ed.
He unfolded the blueprints, carefully examining his design for the exterior, and their rendition of the future Ark Thor!
The first thied on the blueprint was Thor's shape, simir to the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier from the Marvel movies in his previous life, only much smaller and sleeker to maintain speed. The lines were more aesthetically pleasing.
The entire ship was to be made of gold, incredibly ostentatious, desigo dazzle and blind. It had three levels, plete with a kit, bathroom, training room, bathhouse, and so on, totaling twenty to thirty rooms.
There was also a ft, spacious open-air deck, rge enough to host a party for a hundred people, covered with the pure white fur of Skypiea's Thunder Beasts.
To add some life and avoid being too empty and quiet, the rear of the deck was to have some pnts and a sightseeing fish pond.
At the bow of the ship, the most crucial position, stood a golden pavilion. From the base of the pavilion rose two power crystal balls, each a meter in diameter.
"A Perfect creation!" Arthur flipped through the pages, notig slight modifications to the pos, all desigo make the ship perfectly funal.
He was quite satisfied, and his mood improved siderably. "How does the Ark Thor's overall spepare to other ships?"
"Rep to God!" The old man puffed out his chest proudly.
"Ark Thor's exterior was designed by you. This streamlined body is extremely suitable for sailing, whether on the sea or in the sky. Its speed will be several times faster than a Waver."
"We've designed Breath Dials at the rear. Once accelerated, I estimate it will be more thaimes faster than a Waver. However, this will require expoially more electricity, but since you, Lod, trol lightning, this minor ption is negligible."
"At the bow, we've designed a very rare Impact Dial on—also powered by electricity! The shockwave it releases pulverize ships miles away. It's incredibly powerful!"
"Furthermore, eveationary, it hover in the air, ing a negligible amount of electricity."
"This flying ship—has taken us nearly a year to modify. We guarahat every part is in the most perfect dition, more than enough for you, Lod, to reach the Endless Vearth!" The old man raised his head proudly, the whiskers on his quivering, making him look rather ical.
Arthur scoffed at his mention of the Endless Vearth. These Skypieans were obsessed with it, assuming everyone else was too.
Arthur wasn't building this ship to go to the moon, but to quer the seas. In his opinion, what was so great about a desote pce like the moon? He wasn't Enel, living it up with a harem of robots.
The old man tinued, "However, there's ohing I don't quite uand. Gold is a rather soft material, and at sea, it be corroded by seawater, causing it to lose its luster. My Liege, why not add some other materials, such as wood?"
"That's none of your !" Arthur waved his hand, interrupting him.
Wood... how low-css!
And what if the gold loses its luster? He could use his lightning to refi, making it good as new.
Besides, there was so much gold on the Grand Line. He could easily repair the exterior as long as the internal structure remained intact.
Arthur rested his left hand on his head, tapping his right hand on the golden throne. "Enough talk. How long will it take to plete the Ark? I want you to finish it as quickly as possible!"
"This..." The old man smiled awkwardly. "—The other craftsmen and I have calcuted the time. To plete the Ark, we will need a lot of gold. Moreover, all the gold must be melted down and reshaped. The workload is enormous. We estimate it will take at least five years..."
"Five years? That's too long!" Arthur frowned, instantly flicted.
It was currently 1495. Five years ter, it would be 15er would have already been King of the Pirates for three years. The Golden Lion would have lost his legs. Red t would have been captured. How could he wait that long?
"Is there any way to shorteime?" Arthur asked gravely.
"Sir, it will take at least five years! There are too few craftsmen on Skypiea. This is already quite fast. However, I hear that you, Lod, trol lightning and melt metal with electric heat and shape it at will. With your help, the time could be reduced by about three years!" The old shipwright's eyes shone as he looked at Arthur.
Arthur was feeling frustrated. Blue lightning flickered around him, crag.
"I help them build the pos for about a year. After one year, regardless of whether it's finished or not, I'm going to sea!"
Oer, it would be 1496. Roger would be t the Four Seas aurning to the Grand Line. Arthur had to meet Roger, or he would regret it for the rest of his life.
